While living in Italy, I fell in love with the onion dome style of church steeples found on many of the churches. This style of dome dates back to Byzantine times and is most famous in Russia and Eastern Europe. There is a church in Italy named after Saint Sofia who was born in Milan and is the patron saint of many cities throughout the world. These earrings and pendant were inspired by the onion dome steeples.

Using a variation of peyote, we will build our own onion domes with seed beads. The domes do not cover any core piece and stand alone. You will learn to make different sizes and how to use the components in your designs.

One Day Workshop.
Participant must know peyote stitch and be familiar with basic right angle weave.
