The Pelta Motif is found throughout antiquity and into today.  It was the symbol of the shield that was used by the Amazon women in battle.  This workshop concentrates on the technique of making the shield in different sizes and how to use them in the many different mosaic patterns that exist.  Participants will design their own piece of jewelry using the patterns discussed in the class.
