An Italian Adventure - Beadventure in Italy with
Crystal Creations
Crystal Creations is sponsoring this fabulous trip to Italy for its customers (others that would like to join Crystal Creations for this trip will be placed on a wait list should space still be available early next year). Beadventures' Italy expert Maggie Meister will lead this tour as well as teach a workshop on a project designed just for this trip.
You'll start off your tour of Italy by arriving in Rome. You'll then travel to Naples where you'll stay at the lovely Villa Giulia, a beautiful bed and breakfast set amidst beautiful gardens. While in Naples you'll visit Pompeii and cruise the Amalfi Coast. You'll then travel to Deruta, known for its distinctive pottery, and then to Ravenna, world-renowned for its Byzantine mosaics. And finally, you'll complete your Italian Adventure with a visit to the islands of Venice and Murano.

A Beadventure to Italy is special enough--but now we have made it even better. Italy tour leader/seed bead artist extraordinaire Maggie Meister AND fabulous mixed metal artist Tracy Stanley both will travel on this trip and teach a specially-designed joint project for this very special Beadventure.
Your Beadventure will start with a brief stay in Rome. You'll then travel to a lovely restored "farm house" (aka "villa") in Tuscany that will serve as the base for the rest of the trip. Day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, and Florence, along with the workshop at the villa, will fill your time in this beautiful part of Italy.

Beadventure Designer Inspired Series with Marcia DeCoster
This Beadventure is all about learning to translate inspiration into design. Marcia DeCoster, one of the country's top bead artists will lead a workshop on inspiration and design. Maggie Meister, another great seed bead artist, will be the tour leader.
We will visit destinations selected by Marcia in which she will share how they inspire her and how she translates that inspiration into her beadwork. Because Marcia is influenced by costume jewelry, we will visit high-end stores such as Bergdorf and Barney's. The itinerary also will include a visit to the Museum of Art and Design as well as Swarovski's DIY showroom in Soho and Alexis Bittar's store, also in Soho.
During the trip there also will be a workshop during which we learn more about Marcia's design process. This Beadventure is a unique opportunity for beaders that want to take their design process to the next level.
And of course, there will be shopping. We'll visit M&J Trim, to pearl and gem wholesalers, to a vintage warehouse piled to the ceiling with treasures.
